I got this book right away soon as I moved to NYC, I remember I couldn’t believe how much I had payed for it. Was like 2 weeks or 3 weeks of work and we just had landed every single cent was an impressive effort.
This book was my reference book from 2002-2006 like non stop, every study, every tattoo and every thought that I could one day be building Japanese suits was in there. I got the Bushido book later and Kazuo Oguri was my man. Everything that he ever done was for me the jam.
I spend very little years doing Traditional Americana, I went basically straight to Japanese studies and now the least couple years I did more projects in Traditional all black and grey and that’s what my studio @acquasantanyc end up focusing now as a perfect pirate ship.
Hope this book will find a nice home as was the guidance of my studies. Thank you Keibunsha for releasing.
