Gogol Bordello Taras Bulba Tour NYE Rare Poster - 2008/09

I was checking my setlist.fm website and Gogol Bordello is the second band I’ve seen the most in my life, between 3 countries since Broadway and Canal original Menahata parties…what great times and amazing crowd, I’ve been saving this poster, never even framed of Taras Bulba Tour at Webster Hall.

I used to be super crazy about them that end up once at a friend’s birthday party at old Matchless Bar in Greenpoint, BK jumping at the bar and use the light fixtures of the place as microphones to sing Start Wearing Purple while the amazing DJ Irene Who played the track. What a great mess that night was. I think that happened again in Mexico too… such a great vibe band. Pumps your heRt for sure.

Maybe less than a month ago I bumped to Sergey at the Hotel Chelsea…

I asked him, where’s the violin? He just smiled and went his way. Made my day and and I went to Blick Art Materials to get some foam boards for new artwork that is coming…

If you haven’t seen them, do me a favor and get your body and go shake your soul with them. It’s one of the best shows out there. Always amazing crowd.
